Prompt: After viewing your classmates’ digital posters and reading the feedback comments left on your work, what new ideas or perspectives did you gain about your poster? Reflect on how the feedback influenced the way you think about your creative choices and describe what you learned about the creative process while designing and presenting your poster. Many people commented on how neat my presentation was which I really appreciated because I spent a lot of time making sure it looked nice to the eye. I made sure to use good pictures and nice colors to complement my poster. So I know that the time I spend making my poster look nice is not for nothing and I appreciated. I worked very hard to find the perfect pictures for my poster so it would look very in sync and  not ugly. I made sure that all my boxes were the same format and used the same font and everything. I had to organize the boxes so that they were all the same length and all in line with each other.  Summary- ...

Prompt: Reflect on the simile and metaphor worksheet. Which topic challenged you the most when creating your figurative language, and why? In your response, explain what made that topic difficult and how you worked through the challenge (or what you might do differently next time). The topic that challenged me the most would be the "being told you will not succeed" and I feel like no one has ever really told me that before, so it hard to really relate to it a lot. It was the last one I came up with and it was tough. And if I had to choose another to pick I would say the pressure to succeed because my parents are not really strict about that. I feel like I am the one wanted to succeed and I am pushing myself to be better, especially academically.  Summary- Today we worked on our posters for our metaphors and similes, which was fun.  Reflection- I learned about how I can use pictures to really represent what I was to portray.

Prompt: Today you created similes and metaphors that reflect your struggles, growth, and resilience. In a well-developed paragraph, reflect on the process. What did you learn about yourself while writing your figurative language?

Prompt:   Today you created similes and metaphors that reflect your struggles, growth, and resilience. In a well-developed paragraph, reflect on the process. What did you learn about yourself while writing your figurative language? I have only done a couple, but I realized how if I really related to what the prompt was, it was easy for me to think of the time, but it would become overwhelming and I didn't know how to put it into words. I liked how the prompts were pretty deep topics that almost everyone could relate to. I tried to use symbolism for some of my metaphors. I like how they were personal and they can easily put into words the different harsh experiences that people have gone through. I like how its easy to express emotion through .  Summary- We went over similes and metaphors in a poem. Reflection- Using our own experiences and putting them into metaphors and similes.

You may also discuss something new you tried, something you learned, or how the break helped you reset before returning to school. Keep your response appropriate for a school setting and focus on experiences you are comfortable sharing publicly. During this school break me and my family went to Disney World for 2 days. It was very fun, we got to ride on many roller coasters and try some good food. The lines were very long, so we had to wait a while for them, but they were still very fun. I enjoyed the food we had there too. And on the way back from Disney we swam with manetees. The water was pretty cold, but it was cool to see the animals in person. On Wednesday, I got concert tickets to a concert i have been really wanting to go to. I am so happy that I get to see Tame Impala in person. I also took a practice SAT and did not do good. And I found a prom dress, which wa...

Prompt: If you had to describe how you show love using only three objects (for example: a playlist, a hoodie, a late-night snack, a long text message, etc.), what would you choose and why? Explain what each object represents and how it connects to your personality. I love showing love through making handmade gifts for people.   Prompt: Now that you have completed the rhetorical analysis essay, reflect on your growth. Explain how this experience impacted your confidence as a writer and whether you feel prepared to continue analyzing complex speeches and texts in American Literature. Support your reflection with specific references to the writing process. This experience of learning about how to identify and analyze rhetorical devices made me more aware of them in speeches and texts. Its interesting to see how different people use their rhetorical devices and why they use them. When I had to read a speech for my AP US history class, I was scaning for rhetorical devices and it was interesting to see them appear. How they supported what the speaker was saying. it was pretty interesting especially because of how the speech was from a while ago. I think that when you notice the devices, it makes you more aware, and makes it easier to understand what the speaker is saying because you understand the code. ...

Today, you learned how to complete a rhetorical analysis planning guide step by step, from identifying the rhetorical situation to analyzing devices and effects. Reflect on one step of the rhetorical analysis process that helped you understand the process more clearly. Explain what you learned during that step and how it improved your ability to analyze a speaker’s message. I think a really helpful step for me was on the brainstorming part, where we would explain how our devices where used to help with the audiences understanding. Like with the bubbles, creating the three reasons that they were used in the speech were very helpful and provided lots of context for me.  Also the key to writing the thesis statement was very helpful for me, and gave me more confidence.  summary- completing our rhetorical analysis planning reflection- understanding the points to the rhetorical analysis.

Prompt: In the spirit of Valentine’s Day week, describe your idea of a perfect day spent with someone you care about (a friend, family member, or significant person in your life).   I would probably want to spend the day with my friends. We would wake up around 9 and then all get breakfast together at 10. Then after breakfast we could go to the mall and shop around for clothes and stuff. We would pick up a quick snack from the mall and then go back to someones house. Then we would rest until its time to go to dinner. We would get ready and then go to hibachi for dinner, and then we would go back to one of my houses and then play Roblox for a while. Then bake some cookies and watch a movie afterwards. The after, when its late at night, we could all do our nails together. And thats all.  What is the best piece of advice of that your parent or guardian has given you? Tell what the advice was and what prompted you to ask the question.   My mom always like to say "comparison is the thief of joy". I often finding myself comparing my life to someone else's life, like my peers, or my friends and their achievements and grades. But its really not a good habit to start doing. If your are so focused on other people, how will you get to know yourself and see how good your own life is. People on like showing the best stuff online, but there is always more to the story and people are always struggling with something, so its best if don't compare myself to other people.  Summary- Reading the poem and answering questions on it.  Reflection- Knowing and understanding the metaphors and the message of the poem.

What is the most challenging part of working in a group? Discuss a time when a group assignment did not go as well as you planned and how you learned from that experience.  The most challenging part is trying to get everyone to do the same amount of work. Its hard when one person does all the work or one person just doesn't do anything at all. I don't have specific time when I had a really bad experience, but almost always in a group project, especially when its due further on in the week, one person always doesn't do something or wait till the very last minute to do it. But sometimes they can be fun, but the work needs to get done. Summary- More rhetorical analysis and looking at examples  Reflection- How to create and spot a good example in rhetorical analysis .

Prompt:  What is the most challenging part of writing an essay for you? Is it brainstorming, organizing ideas, writing a strong thesis, or something else? How do you plan to overcome this challenge? I think for me, it would be planning out what I will be writing. Brainstorming is pretty challenging for me. But once I have my ideas, I am usually able to start writing pretty well. I try and come up with all of the concepts that I need for my essay so it is easier to write. I want to over come this challenge by being open to new ideas for my essay and helping the flow of ideas to come to my head fast.  - summary- completing out assignment in writable.  -reflection- Learning more about writing the essay.
