 Describe how you spent your time, any activities, traditions, travel, hobbies, or moments that stood out to you. During this school break me and my family went to Disney World for 2 days. It was very fun, we got to ride on many roller coasters and try some good food. The lines were very long, so we had to wait a while for them, but they were still very fun. I enjoyed the food we had there too. And on the way back from Disney we swam with manetees. The water was pretty cold, but it was cool to see the animals in person. On Wednesday, I got concert tickets to a concert i have been really wanting to go to. I am so happy that I get to see Tame Impala in person. I also took a practice SAT and did not do good. And I found a prom dress, which was exciting.  

summary- We read a poem and looked at the metaphors and similes in the poem. 

reflection- Learning how the author used her words to show different meanings.

I really enjoyed this course because learning new things was easy and the concepts were not difficult to understand. Prompt: Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?

In seventh grade, me and my best friend had sort of a fight.  It was a stupid argument, and it was during the summer. After our fight we didn't really talk for the rest of the summer. I was really scared that i would lose my best friend because of this. But i realized that if our friendship could crumble after one little fight, lour friendship would not have gone anywhere. I thought that we were really good friends, but i realized how friendship didn't have any real foundation. So that was my hiatus, a break from a friendship. And it taught me value strong friendships and make sure to build them strongly. And now she is still my best friend to this day.  summary- We learned more rhetoric elements reflection- learning more of the meanings of these elements.

  Prompt: In  Into the Wild , Christopher McCandless gives up many of his possessions in pursuit of freedom and meaningful experiences. If you had to simplify your life and keep only a few important possessions, what would you keep and why? What would be hardest to leave behind? The important possessions that I would keep would be like my blanket, my car, my dogs, my apple products like my airpods, phone, macbook, and apple watch, and money and my bed. And the hardest thing to give up would probably have to be like all my excessive clothes and like all the things I have in my room. But if I had to choose something from the list I would say my bed. I love my bed very much and I would not want to give that up.  Summary- Today we read the first chapter of the book and then answered 10 questions about the chapter.  Reflection- learning never to go on a hike and be irresponsible like the man in the book was.
