Prompt: Think about a moment when your understanding of your family changed as you got older. How did that shift impact your perspective, and how does that connect to Chris’s realization about his parents in Chapter 11

When I was younger, when my parents would correct me or punish me I thought it was because it was because they didn't like me or because they thought they were trying to make me mad or something. As I got older of course I realized that they corrected me and punished me for things that I needed to fix because they love me and care for me. Almost everything they did way to help me and protect me and I feel like that could be applied to Chris and his relationship with his parents. In this chapter its talked about how his father was and his relationships with various family members and it seems like their relationship wasn't perfect but it didn't seem abusive or anything. Sometimes you need to realize that parents but these pressures on because they think its best. And even if it is not the best they still do it because they love you most of the time.

Summary- Reading chapter 11 and doing work about it.
