Prompt: How does watching the film version of Into the Wild change or deepen your understanding of Chris McCandless compared to reading the book? In your response, explain one key difference in how his character or experiences are presented, and connect this to a time when seeing something visually changed your understanding of a situation.n
In the book, Chris is more depicted as cold and reckless for his choices. In the film, we see more of the human side to him, and we see more understanding on his relationships with people and we see more connection and he seems less cold in the movie. I visually got to see him struggling and there was more background on his family which brought more insight on the story. I see him as more human because of the way that he seems more authentic and through the visuals in the movie.
Summary- We watched the movie.
Reflection- Finding differences in the film and movie.
