Something that my parents forbade me to do was to never open or answer the front door when the door bell rang. I think this was very reasonable and something to keep us safe. Random strangers could take us away and its very questionable and unsafe for a kid to open the door. It would be giving the stranger an opportunity to see the child and it could be very dangerous for the child. I feel like I've heard and seen so many stories of stranger asking kids if their parents are home and then they get taken and hurt.

summary- we read and prepped to read a short story in class today
reflection- thinking about the inner themes of the story and think about the past and my childhood.
