What aspect of your cultural identity are you most proud of, and why?

My favorite part of my cultural identity, is probably the food.  I am not at all a picky eater, so I love how diverse the Asian foods are. There are so many different flavors in the food and it just feels very comfortable. I feel like its a part of my culture that I can really connect with. Its easy to connect with something that is mutual when meeting new people. Food in Asian culture is really important because it brings a sense of connection, belonging, and family. Food is something that is very loved and is very deeply rooted in many Asian traditions and in very cultural things. For example in markets, the food stalls are always busy. In many traditions and holidays there are many foods that are specifically made and eaten for that celebration.

summary- We did an activity with the poem "We Real Cool" on paper.
reflection- learning what the specific lines in the poem was very interesting to see, and how the structure of the poem makes sense.
