If you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.  I would write about the struggles of being a dancer, essentially in your high school years. I dance around 4 days a week, which leaves little time for other things that I want to do. I would write about how its hard missing out on school activities because of how dance takes up my time. Also about the struggle of body insecurity when dancing. I would write also about the competitive nature of the sport and how you always have to keep working yourself to stay were you want to be. The constant voice of comparing yourself to the other dancers, and how it really impacts your, especially if they are your friends.  Summary- Learning how to write a rhetorical analysis thesis statement.  Reflection- Learning the structure of the thesis and how to word your thesis.

When you are in a mood that you do not like, what are some strategies that you use to change your mood?

When you are in a mood that you do not like, what are some strategies that you use to change your mood?  When I am angry, usually I don't want to be bothered or else it will result in me getting more annoyed. I like being alone and trying to calm down, especially if I am angry at my family. I try and distract myself on my phone, or try and think about something else. Usually, I can't concentrate when i'm mad, so if I am doing homework, I take a break. When i'm sad, sometimes I will go to my mom to talk or just lay in my bed. And sometimes my dogs will help me feel better.  summary- We did a commonlit in class reflection- Learning about social connectedness.

Prompt: Describe your personal approach to creativity. What steps do you follow when you’re working on a project. Tell me about a project you created that you were most proud of.  I love being creative. It works as a create outlit for ideas and help bring what you imagine to life. Now, when I use my creativity, it usually a craft I see online and want to either make it, or sort of add my own twist to it. When working on a project, I will take inspiration from something else, like a picture, and then add my own little touched. For example, in 10th grade my history teacher gave me this big DIY jellyfish that was given to him by a previous student. When he gave it to me, I wanted to paint it and give it some color. I had seen some ideas on Pinterest, and I wanted to do it. So I started doing all the steps to making this jellyfish super colorful and stuff. So I chose some good colors and added ribbon for the tentacles. When I was finished, it looks so cute and colorful. I am ver...

After two weeks of studying rhetorical devices, types of rhetoric, and methods for identifying rhetorical techniques, which rhetorical device do you find most effective or compelling, and why?

After two weeks of studying rhetorical devices, types of rhetoric, and methods for identifying rhetorical techniques, which rhetorical device do you find most effective or compelling, and why? My favorite rhetorical device is metaphors. I love metaphors because of how powerful they can be when used in literature.  I think that it is the most compelling because of how random they can be, but really have a deep meaning. The sentence can seem silly at first, but once you dig deep into the metaphor, the true meaning is shown and it usually really important and has a deep meaning. I especially love when music artist use metaphors in songs. It just give the song so much more depth and provides so much meaning to the song. I feel like people have special connections to songs with metaphors in them because of their meanings. Summary- Today we took a test on rhetorical devices.  Reflection- A final lesson about rhetorical devices.

Choose a vocabulary word that resonates with you personally. Write a blog post explaining why this word is significant to you, including any personal memories or experiences that link you to the word. For my word, I am choosing gibberish . This word is significant to me because it makes me think of when I was younger, my sister would talk gibberish in her sleep. Sometimes it would scare me but it would always be funny in the morning when I told her about it. I remember one time, when we shared a room, I woke up in the middle of the night to get some water and when I came back I heard her talking to herself. I tried to remember what words she said, but I couldn't remember what the words were. When I got back in my bed, I waited to see if she would talk anymore, but she didn't so I went back to sleep. This was in like elementary school for me. Summary- We completed lesson 7 in a vocab book and did the exercises.  Reflection- Learning new words and how to use them in sentences....

Write about a time you didn’t feel like yourself.

Write about a time you didn’t feel like yourself. Sometimes when I get very angry, I don't recognize myself. I don't like who I become when I get really angry but sometimes it gets hard to control and I just get unrecognizable.  Usually I try and be cheerful and kind, but when I have really deep feeling emotions I don't feel like myself and its scary sometimes to feel like that. But I try and keep it under control so it doesn't happen to often.  summary- We are analyzing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's "I Have A Dream Speech" and looking at the rhetorical devices within the speech. reflection- Learning how to easily identify the rhetorical devices.

Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?\ When I was doing a group project,It was near the due date and I had finished my whole part. Some of my partners didn't finish their project and I was super worried that they would not finish in time. I had to rely on them to get a good grade on this project, and I was nervous about if they would finish on time. But when the day came to turn it in, the project was finished. It felt like never racking at the thought of getting a bad grade on the project, but I had hope that they would finish in time and they did.  Summary- We identified rhetoric in trumps speech about border patrol. reflection- Identifying and quoting the correct rhetoric in a speech.

What life skills have you learned in high school that will help you live independently after high school? Which skills do you think are essential for your success after high school?  Maybe some math that i've learned could help me, if i wanted to go into certain jobs like construction. Prompt: Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?

In seventh grade, me and my best friend had sort of a fight.  It was a stupid argument, and it was during the summer. After our fight we didn't really talk for the rest of the summer. I was really scared that i would lose my best friend because of this. But i realized that if our friendship could crumble after one little fight, lour friendship would not have gone anywhere. I thought that we were really good friends, but i realized how friendship didn't have any real foundation. So that was my hiatus, a break from a friendship. And it taught me value strong friendships and make sure to build them strongly. And now she is still my best friend to this day.  summary- We learned more rhetoric elements reflection- learning more of the meanings of these elements.

Use a hyperbole, an understatement, and a litotes to describe today's lesson.

What did You do over the break?

Over the break, during the first week, I spent time with my family and did some winter actives with friends and went to a Christmas party. During the second week me and my family went to Arizona. It was so beautiful there, and the landscape was incredibly beautiful. We had to go to Arizona for the conference thing that was really big. Over 7,000 people were there and it was so cool.  Summary- We made goals for the new year and when we want to achieve them Reflection- Thinking and typing out my goals was really good for me to remind me of what I want to do this year.   The first goal for 2026, is to try and kill my habit of procrastination. I want to set this goal because i would like to be able to finish my homework and imporant things before I am rushing to try and finish them late at night or the day before its due.  To do this I must realize the detraction that is keeping me from doing my work, which is probably my phone. I just get stuck scrollin...
