What did You do over the break?

Over the break, during the first week, I spent time with my family and did some winter actives with friends and went to a Christmas party. During the second week me and my family went to Arizona. It was so beautiful there, and the landscape was incredibly beautiful. We had to go to Arizona for the conference thing that was really big. Over 7,000 people were there and it was so cool.

Summary- We made goals for the new year and when we want to achieve them

Reflection- Thinking and typing out my goals was really good for me to remind me of what I want to do this year.

The first goal for 2026, is to try and kill my habit of procrastination. I want to set this goal because i would like to be able to finish my homework and imporant things before I am rushing to try and finish them late at night or the day before its due. To do this I must realize the detraction that is keeping me from doing my work, which is probably my phone. I just get stuck scrolling through my phone and not wanting to do anything which usually results in me doing my homework super late at night when i just want to be in bed. So i will try and set timers for time on my phone and then put my phone in another room to help me concentrate on my work. I want to have this habit be a habit as soon as possible to further help my schoolwork and homework time.

The second goal that I have for myself is try not to fail any big important tests. I want to set this goal because I want my test grades to positvily impact my grade and not cause it to go down, especially in my AP classes. To complete this goal I will pay more attention in class and take better notes when the teacher goes over the notes. I will write down the test days and study the approximate time for this. I want this to be a habit also as soon as possible, esspecoally because it is AP test season soon.

For the third goal, I want to build up my resume for my collage applications. I really want to get into a good collage to be able to set up a strong future for myslef and my future family. I want to be able to have the freedom and education to choose a good job that which support me. For the summer time, I will find places to volunteer regularly and try and find good internships for high school students. Finding a summer job could also be beneficial.I want this to be donw by August, because that is like prime collage application time.

For the fourth goal, I want to work on my patience, especially with my family. This goal is important to me because sometimes i find myself snapping at my family for no reason but only my short temper. I feel really bad about it. To achieve this goal, i will practice holding my tongue and thinking about what tone and words I am about to say. Sometimes i say really hurtful things to my sister who just wants to hang out with me, so I am trying to work on my words and patience. I want to slowly start to make progess with this goal,so I hope by the end of the year, my pateince is good.
